iasyoBot, the iasyo crawler

iasyoBot reads a website's public pages when someone runs a iasyo audit or uses one of our free tools, or when a client monitors their visibility. It follows robots.txt and doesn't train any AI.

How to recognise it

Name to use in robots.txt

iasyoBot

Full signature (user-agent)

Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; iasyoBot/1.0; +https://iasyo.com/fr/robot/)

IP address

iasyoBot always comes from 217.160.24.163. A visit that carries its name but comes from another address is not from iasyo.

What it does

WhenWhat it reads
Free or full auditThe robots.txt file, the sitemap, the llms.txt file if there is one, the home page and up to 50 pages chosen from the sitemap and internal links.
Client monitoringThe same reading, once a month, to see what has changed.
Free toolOnly the page requested, plus the website's robots.txt or llms.txt file when the tool needs it.

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't train any AI model and doesn't resell any content.
  • It doesn't log in to any account, doesn't fill in any form and doesn't read password-protected pages.
  • It only keeps what the result needs: the elements found on the page, not its full content.

It follows your robots.txt

iasyoBot rereads robots.txt at the start of each audit and before each tool. It follows the rules in the “User-agent: iasyoBot” group; if there isn't one, those in the “User-agent: *” group. If there is no robots.txt file, all pages are allowed; if the file doesn't respond because of a server error, iasyoBot doesn't read any other page and says so in the result.

A light pace

One page at a time, at most one per second on the same website. If the server responds that it is overloaded (codes 429 or 503), iasyoBot slows down, then stops after several errors. If your robots.txt sets a delay between two visits (the “Crawl-delay” directive), iasyoBot respects it.

How to block it

To block iasyoBot from your whole website, add these lines to your robots.txt file:

User-agent: iasyoBot
Disallow: /

To block it from only part of the website:

User-agent: iasyoBot
Disallow: /account/

The rule applies from the next visit. Blocking iasyoBot has no effect on Googlebot, GPTBot or other crawlers: each one follows its own rules. However, iasyo will no longer be able to analyse the blocked pages, and the audit will say so.

Is your firewall blocking iasyoBot?

If you want to audit your website and it is protected by a firewall or a service such as Cloudflare, allow iasyoBot's IP address in its settings.

Frequently asked questions

Why did iasyoBot visit my website when I didn't request anything?

Someone ran an audit or a tool on a page of your website: anyone can analyse a public page, just as a browser would. iasyoBot only reads public pages and follows your robots.txt.

Is iasyoBot an AI crawler?

No. It doesn't feed any AI: it collects technical elements (tags, structured data, crawler access) to measure what helps or holds back your visibility.

Does blocking iasyoBot change my visibility in ChatGPT or Google?

No. Only the rules addressed to those services' crawlers count for them.

How do I report a problem?

Write to us from the Contact page or at bonjour@iasyo.com, stating your website and the date and time of the visits.
